Somewhere in between
Your grew, laughed
Learnt and grasped
Opportunities.
We will cling to each other again
As winds and the ages
Seek us out.
For now I am thankful
For your tender words
And gentle kisses.
You cling to me
You cling to me like a baby monkey
Your hot wet face buried in my neck
Storm force legs clasp my waist and you fingers
Search for solace.
Now your stand
High above my head
Stooping to place
An awkward kiss
On my cheek.
